This manual is the result of the works on experimental Archaeology focused on researches in Archaeology and Guarani ceramics technology, originally presented as a master’s thesis. The main points discussed revolve around the related studies with Guarani Archaeology and its relationship with the ceramic material. In this work some relevant aspects of anthropology, ethno history, language, and Guarani expansion are approached. These approaches help to contextualize the problems linked to the ceramic material and its interpretation in archaeological contexts. The lack of works in this area has required a particular methodology and, so far, unique, with a high control degree, from the selection of raw materials through the manufacturing, cooking, fragmentation of the pieces, and fragment analysis. Aspects related to the production, surface treatment, and fragments quantification, are discussed on a new look, reviewing the way of thinking the technological process of a ceramic object and how to treat it when it turns into fragment, in a reverse logic to the one that the archaeologist does. Thus, we open a path to further researches, since the potentiality of the reproduced set are not vanished.
